Syrasoft Connect(as well as v9) has a powerful tool for creating customized letters or emails complete with a wide array of merge fields reducing the time and effort it takes to reach out to a number of tenants at once.
We can start the process of creating any letter by clicking on Edit(1) in the main Syrasoft Connect screen and selecting Letters(2).
The Edit Letters screen will appear. We are going to select New(1) and click Edit(2) as shown here to launch the letter editing utility.
The end goal of this sample letter is to announce online payments from your self storage facility.
In order to issue a customized letter to all tenants simultaneously the letter must have Merge Fields present anywhere tenant-specific information appears as shown here.
Most of the letter’s formatting can be treated like writing an email or using a word processor. To insert Merge Fields start by moving the blinking cursor where you need the tenant-specific information. Select the Category(1) followed by the Specific Merge Field(2) and finally Insert Merge Fields(3).
You’ve now created the notification letter! Now to save it to your Syrasoft Connect account.
Once you are happy with the content of your online payments notification letter select File(1) and Save As(2).
Save the document anywhere on your PC, it will be uploaded to Connect’s cloud shortly.
Now that you’re back to the Edit Letters screen make sure you enter a Letter Name(1) and select Save(2). This commits the letters to your account and they will shortly be available from all computers utilizing Syrasoft Connect.
