Setting up Online Payment(SIM) Credentials

When a self storage facility begins to offer online payments they often have a number of existing tenants that need to be notified of the new service. This how-to covers the basics of setting up login credentials for your facility’s new online payment service through the Syrasoft Internet Manager(SIM).

Access Facility Options

The first step is to access the facility Options window. Open Connect, select Settings(1) from the top menu then Options(2) to access the window.

Once the Options screen is open click on Operations(1), select Tenant Security(2) and select from the Username(3) and Password(4) dropdown menus.

Credential Options

We have several presets in the software for both username and password to let you select consistent credentials then apply them to all

Username Options

• Email
• First Initial + Last Name
• First Name
• Last Name
• Manual Entry

Password Options

• Access Code + Last 4 of Phone
• Full Phone Number
• Gate Access Code
• Manual Entry
• Unit Number + Access Code
• Unit Number

Commit Changes

Clicking Set SIM Credentials For All Tenants(5) will apply these settings to every existing tenant occupying your facility.

That’s it! You’ve now set up every tenant in Syrasoft Connect with an account they may use to make payments online or sign themselves up for automatic payments.

It’s always a good idea to generate a letter in Syrasoft Connect to send to all tenants, either via email or post notifying them of the new payment option.
